Ask AI is available to Program Coordinators only. The tab appears with a New badge in your navigation.
Opening Ask AI
Click the Ask AI tab in your FieldX navigation. A chat interface opens with a text input at the bottom and suggested prompts above it.What you can ask
Ask AI is grounded in your program’s live data. Examples:- “Which students are off pace this term?”
- “Show me everyone in the Spring 2026 cohort who hasn’t completed clearance.”
- “Which sites have the highest pending sign-off counts?”
- “How many students are missing liability insurance in the next 30 days?”
- “Generate a Weekly Activity Ledger for Jordan Lee for the last 4 weeks and export as PDF.”
- “Build a table of every student, their site, faculty supervisor, and total approved hours — export to CSV.”
- “Find any students with hour logs longer than 1.5 hours in the past 7 days.”
- “Draft a supervision report assignment for all Fall 2025 cohort students due November 15.”
Suggested prompts
When you open a new conversation, Ask AI shows suggested prompts based on your program’s current state — e.g., “Who is behind on hours?” or “Show clearance status for all students.” Click any to use it directly.Exporting results
Excel (.xlsx) is not supported. Use CSV and open it in Excel.
Tips for better answers
- Be specific — “all students in Spring 2026” beats “my students”
- Mention the term when you want a specific window
- Ask for a format — say “as a table” or “as a list” if it matters
- Follow up — the conversation persists, so you can ask “now filter to off-pace only” after the first result
- Ask it to show its work — say “show your SQL” to see the exact query it ran
Managing conversations

Privacy
Conversations stay private to your account. They aren’t shared with students, faculty, or other coordinators, and they aren’t used to train SimCare’s models. Every query is scoped to your program only — Ask AI cannot see other programs’ data.Common issues
Ask AI isn’t showing data I expect. Make sure your Overview tab is set to the correct term — Ask AI uses the same term scope. Switch the term dropdown and try again. The response seems wrong or incomplete. Try rephrasing with more specifics (cohort name, date range, student type). Ask it to “show your SQL” to verify what query ran. If the data itself looks wrong, flag it inline or email tiko@simcare.ai. “Ask AI is unavailable” message. This occasionally happens during high load. Wait a moment and try again.Ask AI is in active development. If you’d like a new capability added, email tiko@simcare.ai.
