# My Learning

> Your assignments dashboard — view enrolled classes, track submission status, and manage your simulation assignments.

**My Learning** is your personal assignments dashboard. It shows every class you're enrolled in, every assignment that's been given to you, and your progress across all of them.

Access it by clicking **My Learning** in the top navigation (or from the sidebar if your program uses it).

## Layout

My Learning has three sections:

| Section               | What it shows                                                                                       |
| --------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Activity**          | All your assignments across all classes, sorted by due date. Filter by All, Upcoming, or Completed. |
| **My Courses**        | Classes your instructor has enrolled you in, with a progress bar and next due assignment.           |
| **Personal Learning** | Self-paced courses you enrolled in yourself from the [Course Catalog](/docs/simulations/course-catalog). |

## Assignment status badges

Each assignment card shows a status badge:

| Badge                 | What it means                                            |
| --------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Not Started**       | You haven't opened the assignment yet                    |
| **In Progress**       | You started a session but haven't submitted              |
| **Submitted**         | Your session is complete and awaiting review             |
| **AI Graded**         | The AI has generated feedback; instructor review pending |
| **Graded**            | Your instructor has reviewed and saved a grade           |
| **Feedback Released** | AI and instructor feedback is now visible to you         |
| **Past Due**          | The due date passed without a submission                 |

## Starting an assignment

1. Find the assignment in **Activity** or inside a class in **My Courses**
2. Click **Start** (or **Continue** if you've already begun)
3. The case setup flow launches — choose Quick Start or Generate & Start, check your mic and camera, then begin

<Note>If your instructor set an **attempt limit**, the number of remaining attempts is shown on the assignment card. Once you've used all attempts, the Start button is disabled.</Note>

## Resuming a session

If you close the browser mid-session, your progress is saved. Return to the assignment and click **Continue** — the session picks up where you left off.

## Viewing feedback

Once feedback is released:

1. Open the assignment in My Learning
2. Click **View Feedback**
3. Your feedback report opens with all available tabs (High-Level Feedback, Annotated Transcript, Advanced Skills, Theory Analysis, Chat with Feedback)

<Note>If you see "Your instructor will release feedback" instead of the feedback report, your instructor has chosen to review before releasing. You'll get a notification when it's available.</Note>

## Assignment types

Besides simulation cases, your instructor may assign:

| Type         | What you do                                              |
| ------------ | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Case**     | Complete a simulation session with an AI client          |
| **Quiz**     | Answer multiple choice, true/false, or written questions |
| **Document** | Read a PDF/URL or upload a required file                 |
| **Form**     | Complete a multi-step form (evaluations, reflections)    |

## Common issues

**I can't find an assignment my instructor mentioned.**\
Check all three sections (Activity, My Courses, Personal Learning). If it's a class-based assignment, click into the class card under My Courses. If you still can't find it, ask your instructor to confirm you're enrolled in the class.

**The Start button is greyed out.**\
You may have used all your allowed attempts, or the assignment's due date has passed. Check the assignment card for details or ask your instructor.

**My submission shows "In Progress" but I finished the session.**\
The session may still be processing. Wait a few minutes and refresh the page. If it stays stuck after 10 minutes, contact [hello@simcare.ai](mailto:hello@simcare.ai).
