  ## New features

  * **Clinical case studies.** A new clinical case library is now available, with practice cases you can work through directly or launch as a full simulation. Each case opens to a Case Overview with the patient background, question count, and a one-click start. Your progress is saved automatically, so you can step away and pick up where you left off, and completed cases show your score the next time you open them.
  * **Study packages.** The clinical case library now surfaces SimCare's NCMHCE study packages — Live Instruction, Self-Study, and Question Bundles — so you can browse package details without leaving the page.

  ## Updates

  * **Smoother re-edits of submitted pre-applications.** When you reopen a previously submitted FieldX [pre-application](/docs/fieldx/students/step-5-my-sites) to make changes, SimCare now creates a clean draft from your submitted version and carries your existing answers, forms, and assignments over to it. Your submitted record stays intact while you edit, and changes only replace it once you resubmit.

  * **Licensure prep cases now connect to simulations.** When a clinical case has a matching simulation version, you can jump straight into the simulation from the score modal after answering the questions. If you arrive from a completed simulation, the score modal now offers a direct link back to your simulation feedback so you can compare the two side by side.

  * **Smarter score review experience.** After you submit answers on a licensure prep case, the new score summary shows your total, lists each question with a correct/incorrect indicator, and lets you reopen the case in review mode to see your selections and explanations.

  * **Your progress is saved as you go.** Answers on a licensure prep case now auto-save in the background, so you can leave and come back without losing your place. Reopening a completed attempt drops you straight into review mode with the score summary.

  ## Bug fixes

  * **FieldX supervisor invites are more reliable.** When you add a site supervisor in the [pre-application flow](/docs/fieldx/students/step-5-my-sites), SimCare now catches a few edge cases that previously caused silent failures:
    * You can no longer invite your own email address as your supervisor. You'll see an inline error and a toast explaining the issue.
    * Inviting someone who already has a SimCare account in a conflicting role (student, teacher, faculty, or admin) now shows a clear, role-specific message so you know to use a different email.
    * Inviting someone whose existing account is unused or already a supervisor still upgrades smoothly, so legitimate invites go through without extra steps.
  * In each blocked case, the invite modal stays open so you can correct the email and try again without losing your work.
